Im Saal versucht Misty ein ernstes Gespräch mit Rocko zu führen und als sie sich umsieht, entdeckt sie, dass Lorana kein Spiegelbild hat. Als sie zu Lorana zeigt, schlägt der Spiegel schnell zu. Misty bekommt Angst und versucht ihren Freund dazu zu bringen, mit ihr und Ash weiter zu reisen, doch dieser weigert sich. Rocko rennt auf Lorana zu und will sie umarmen, doch zu Ashs und Mistys Schrecken packt er durch diese hindurch. Rocko bemerkt dies nicht und Misty erkennt, dass er praktisch hypnotisiert wurde. Ash und Misty wollen ihn überzeugen, dass etwas nicht richtig ist, doch ihr Freund wird nur wütend. Lorana fordert ihn auf, draußen auf ihn zu warten und als er gegangen ist, wendet sie sich Misty und Ash zu. Sie sagt wütend, dass, wenn sie unbedingt gehen wollten, ohne Rocko gehen müssen. Fearful for Brock's safety, Ash and Misty quickly sneak back into the mansion, and begin exploring. They soon find a room that used to belong to the owner. Hanging above the desk is a portrait of the owner, who looks almost exactly like Brock. The desk also has two objects on it, Ninetales's Poké Ball (an incredibly old model, intricately made out of expensive materials), and the owner's diary. Paging through the diary for clues, Ash is shocked to see that the last entry was made over 200 years ago! If Lokoko has been waiting for the owner for 200 years, then she must be a ghost! They rush outside and see Brock relaxing with Lokoko and Ninetales. As they watch Brock's clothes suddenly change to the ones the owner was wearing in his portrait. Realizing that the spell over Brock is being maintained by Ninetales, Ash calls out Totodile and orders it to attack Ninetales with Water Gun. Though the attack misses Ninetales, it hits Lokoko and passes right through her, causing Brock to see her for what she actually is. The spell over him broken, Brock returns to normal. Handlung
Mitten im Nebel werden Ash, Misty und Rocko fallen die Jungen von einem Felsvorsprung und sie erkennen, dass sie erst weiterreisen können, wenn der Nebel sich gelichtet hat. Als sie ihr Lager aufbauen wollen, erscheint ein mysteriöses Mädchen namens Lorana aus dem Nebel, das von einem Vulnona begleitet wird. Sie sagt den Kindern, dass sie in ihrem Haus übernachten können und lädt sie ihr zu folgen. Verliebt stimmt Rocko direkt zu und auch seine Freunde sind dankbar. Jessie, James, Mauzi und Jessies Woingenau sehen, wie die Knirpse von ihr weggeführt werden. Sie entscheiden ich ihnen zu folgen und Vulnona und Pikachu zu stehlen.
Lorana führt die Freunde zu einer riesigen Villa, die nach japanischem Stil gestaltet ist. Sie lädt sie in den Dinnersaal ein und serviert ihnen Mahlzeiten aus Früchten. Rocko beginnt mit ihr zu flirten und zu Mistys Überraschung reagiert sie nicht abweisend, sondern flirtet ebenfalls. Misty fragt sie, ob sie alleine in der Villa wohnt, weshalb Lorana ihr die Geschichte der Villa erzählt: Die Villa gehörte einst einem Mann, dem Trainer von Vulnona. Dieser ging jedoch auf eine Reise und kam nie zurück. Die Angestellten suchten sich nach einiger Zeit andere Arbeitsplätze, sodass Lorana und Vulnona alleine zurückblieben. Bewegt bietet Rocko an bei ihnen zu bleiben. Zum Schock seiner Freunde stimmt das Mädchen zu und will ihn heiraten.

Team Rocket, who are still chowing in the storehouse suddenly realize that all they've been eating were tree leaves, which were disguised as food by Ninetales's power. Ash and his friends race through the mansion, pursued by Ninetales. It eventually corners them in the owner's study. Ash tries to battle it with Totodile and Bayleef, but Ninetales easily defeats them using its telekinesis. Noticing the Poké Ball on the table, Brock picks it up and orders Ninetales to return. Confusing Brock for its owner, Ninetales happily jumps into the ball. Lokoko reappears and tells them the real story of the mansion. Over 200 years ago, the owner of the mansion left on a journey. Though he promised he'd be back in a month, he never returned. Over time the servants who worked in the mansion began to leave, each sadly bidding Ninetales farewell, one by one until Ninetales was eventually left alone. Though Ninetales waited patiently, losing track of time, it came to realize that a century had passed; it knew its owner could not possibly still be alive. It tried to leave the mansion, but found that it was bound by some sort of power centered around its Poké Ball. Trapped in the mansion, it continued to wait, its power growing stronger and stronger as time passed on. Over two hundred years after its master had left, Ninetales sensed Brock's presence. Since Brock looked almost exactly like its late owner, Ninetales decided to lure him to the mansion and trap him, so Brock could take over as Ninetales' new Trainer.
Plötzlich erscheint Team Rocket und fängt Vulnona mit einem Netz. Wütend darüber ausgetrickst worden zu sein, haben sie entschieden es dem Boss zu schicken. Ashs Lorblatt vernichtet ihren Plan jedoch, indem es Vulnona mit Rasierblatt befreit. Mit Hilfe deren Telekinese und Pikachus Donnerblitz werden die Gauner weggeschleudert. Während des Kampfes geht Vulnonas Ball kaputt, sodass es nun in Frieden gehen kann. Es reist nun weiter, um die Welt zu erkunden. Ash und die anderen wollen weiterreisen und treffen Lorana ein letztes Mal auf, die ihnen dankt, Vulnona geholfen zu haben.
